The number of banks continues to multiply in downtown Bethesda, with the newest competitor to enter the market now preparing to open its second downtown branch. Chase Bank will open August 13, 2019 at 7901 Wisconsin Avenue. The opening comes just months after their first downtown location debuted at 4749 Bethesda Avenue.
Inside 7901 Wisconsin, everything from furniture to counters and ATMs appears to be in place for next week's opening. Signage has also just been installed on the exterior of the building, and inside the bank. This space was previously home to another bank, Wells Fargo.

So weird that all we can get in Bethesda is banks and more banks .... Crypto will destroy them all in the near future and Bethesda will be desolate.
I’m sorry to see that they made no effort to clean the existing white marble facade. I would think a deep power wash, with the right chemical cleaners for porous marble, could remove most of those nasty grey stains that run down from the roof coping, and return it to its pristine appearance.
That sign on the south elevation is massive, and seems poorly scaled for the facade. Way to big and clunky for that side. It’s seems they wanted to be sure that the executives on the upper levels of the Chevy Chase Bank Building could see that a new financial sheriff is in town.
Funny that the new branch is located at the corner of Wisconsin and Chase. I’m sure that brought a smile to the real estate search team.
According to Dyer, the rich are fleeing Bethesda and MoCo.
Maybe someone needs to tell all of these bankers that they are wasting their time.
The usual questions on Dyer's photography:
1) How does this article merit having 11 photos, let alone even 2? Many of these photos duplicate each other.
2) Why can't Dyer be bothered to put any effort into actually composing his photos?
3) Why can't a "professional journalist" use something better than a phone camera? The cost of a nice digital SLR can be deducted as a business expense, against any revenues.
Short the bankers .... BUY BITCOIN!
Those are the kinds of photos that criminals use to get the lay out.
