New LED lights brighten corner in Bethesda

The new LED lights installed at the building housing Cafe X-press have brightened up the corner at Del Ray and Norfolk Avenues in the Woodmont Triangle. At a time when the collapse of the nighttime economy has increased the number of lonely, dark streets in downtown Bethesda, pedestrians can appreciate the addition of a more well-lit one.

Has anyone notified the Pulitzer committee on this massive scoop?

Relevant news if you live in the area. It's quite bright now.

Way too much glare coming off these fixtures. These poorly designed lights are not intended to be used at low canopy height soffits, as they project unshielded light on all sides. They may be efficient, using LED technology, but cast unpleasant glare in all directions. Recessed and highly shielded LED downlighting would have been a much better choice, and eliminated all direct glare by shielding the diodes.

Yes it’s much brighter, but in my opinion, a very bad implementation.

1:55pm Rabid right wing? Lol, any evidence?
Dyer's political platform certainly wasn't "rabid right wing"

I really think the statues can go (glad the one in Rockville is gone), but I don't think you're a Nazi if you think others should be able to protest in favor of keeping them. There atleast some historical argument. But I don't care and don't want to debate this.

And, in reading Dyer's political platform online, there is nothing anyone would call "Nazi".

Now, if someone was a white supremacist, wouldn't that be part of their platform?

You continue to make these inflammatory claims without evidence my friend. Not sure if you're a self proclaimed competitor trying to smear another publisher's reputation or just a nut. You tell me.

3:08pm you can't make wild inflammatory claims with no evidence. Casually calling people you don't like a "Nazi" isn't cool.

Robert Dyer, June 29, 2019:

"All 9 Councilmembers are either card-carrying Communists or Fellow Travelers."

(From an article about Custom Ink and LensCrafters opening at Bethesda Row.)

"Anonymous" continues his defamation campaign against Dyer.

Imagine if Dyer spent time everyday trying to defame other writers and launch ad hominem attacks. Weird!
