La Catrina Bar & Lounge has set an opening date at 4935 Cordell Avenue. The Mexican restaurant and lounge will open this Friday, November 18, 2022. La Catrina has been showing off the prowess of its bartenders on social media over the past several weeks, giving an idea of what the cocktails will be like here.

This is the second biggest nightlife opening in Bethesda in 2022 (the first is Hip Flask in the new Marriott.. so popular they have a 1+ hour waitlist on weekend nights). I hope Dyer will be there to cover it.
The owners seem motivated, but I believe they have no prior restaurant/club experience, so let's see how this goes. It's a big place with a lot of opportunity.
