Washington Gas project in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle (Photos)

Watch for lane closures on Cordell and St. Elmo Avenues in downtown Bethesda. Washington Gas and its contractor, NPL, began a utility project on both streets in the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood yesterday. Flagmen were directing traffic.

Ok, off topic for this particular post, but just now I'm hearing MoCo PoPo sirens aplenty blaring all the way from my walk past Veterans Park through to NIH... What crime is actually happening right now real time as we speak that Robert will probably be reporting on later and local news shills will not. 5:55pm-6:01 Total siren time. Woop!woop! Did not sound like BCCRS to me.

Is this to reduce bldg explosions or scheduled way in advance for maintenance?
