Westbard shooting suspect(s) remain at large 7 weeks later
The search for answers in the March 29, 2025 shooting on Westbard Avenue is entering its eighth week. Whoever fired a barrage of shots outside the Bethesda Bowlero bowling alley at 12:13 AM that morning continues to live their best life in sweet freedom, unencumbered by the scales of justice and the long arm of the law. In Montgomery County, that's the remaining arm of the law that isn't tied behind the back by our pro-criminal elected officials. Two people were wounded in the shooting, and only luck prevented there from being more victims. The Montgomery County Council and County police remained silent on the shocking gunplay in a quiet residential area for a seventh week.

This will eventually be classified as an unsolved mystery.
Too bad when failure becomes so common place.
The Council or the MD Attorney General is counting on everyone forgetting. Just wait until a citizen fires up a gasoline leaf blower after July 1st and there will be a full blown investigation along with a tax lien if the fine isn't paid.
Hopefully he's in a jail somewhere like Richland County SC on a non-related charge which is a jurisdiction that follows up and prosecutes trifling feral thugs.
If after two weeks this gets so little attention from the po-po then nothing will be done unless they get extraordinarily lucky and some third party 'gives it up.' As far as I'm concerned, stupid decisions earned us all this. Just a matter of time til one of us gets killed. Fact.
Who is the Detective in charge? McGruff?
Indeed they would be on him "like a duck on a june bug!"
Or Macon County, GA.
3:06 - Ha! That is so true.
Can’t wait for the end of gas powered blowers. And I now my lawn.. almost no one else does around here, it’s all companies
1:40 like a lot of people in MC, (mostly liberals), doesn't understand cause & effect. Getting rid of gas blowers does nothing for noise mitigation as electric blowers have lower overall dB though at a much higher pitch which is more annoying in many ways especially to pets. Then there will be the constant noise coming from the generators used to charge batteries on site.
The environmental impact of the batteries notwithstanding, fire is going to be the main worry as constant charging of batteries on trailers made of wood with an aluminum skin as you can't control where all the landscapers will source their batteries many choosing the lowest cost non-oem ones. Google thermal runaway and you'll get the idea.
Anything that happens should be laid at the feet of the MC Council for liability which really means the taxpayers. I would love for some wealthy Bethesda attorney to sue the council directly when an incident does happen.
It's like a venting session at the senior home in here. Wild...

Sooo true 6:58
He is getting old and feeble, so he cannot take a bite out of crime.
This could make a hit soap opera outlasting Dragnet!
