Now that the bare bones of the interior of the future Harris Teeter at 8300 Wisconsin Avenue are finally evident, shelves and display cases are being loaded in. The store, originally expected to open in late 2015, is now on track for a summer opening.
The photo at top shows the future garage entrance where customers who don't live upstairs in the Flats 8300 luxury apartments will drive in to park for the Harris Teeter. This will be the first Harris Teeter in Bethesda; there has been one for a while on Old Georgetown Road east of Rockville Pike in North Bethesda.

Anything is better than the Trader Joe's at 6831 Wisconsin. That building has been an eye sore ever since I started working in Bethesda 2 years ago!
Finally, some signs of life. For a while there I thought maybe it was a Greenhill property.
Trader Joe's was supposed to relocate to a 17-story apartment building at 7900 Wisconsin Ave., but that project is indefinitely on hold as Fitness First decided to exercise a renewal option in its lease contract until 2019.
5:50 Isn't that like throwing the baby out with the bath water? You trash Trader Joe's because of the building it occupy's? I see nothing wrong with TJ's, in fact lots of people like it.
Trader Joe's serves a purpose. It allows people who cannot afford to shop at a high end grocer the feeling that they are part of something special and natural. Hopefully, Trader Joe's will allow them to one day aspire to being Balducci's shoppers.
The shopping experience and parking must be a hassle at the current Trader Joe's though. Whenever we send the domestic there to get the twins favorite peanut butter cups, she complains and goes up the Rockville Pike instead.
The renovation doesn't make things any better too!
Almost as bad as the Karr / Greenhill junk
Hooray! Thanks for the update. I love the Teet (currently go to the one in Rockville) but I live 1 block away from this new location. Every time I pass by, I check to see if there's a sign with an opening date yet. Still waiting...

Hahahaha
Poppy is trying to insinuate that Trader Joe's is for people like Robert
Poppy is a fake. Comes here to insult us. One of Dyer's trolls making fun of the regular Dyer readers.
@8:26 Robert loves hungry man and burger king. He really isn't into natural food.
I think he would be into Natural Food if he could fit it all into his mouthat once but Twinkies are already the perfect fit for him!
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to this being open.
Eh healthy food is overrated. Look at Dyer. He is probably the same age as Poppy and eats total garbage, doesn't have an Equinox membership and doesn't go to 8 yoga classes a week, and he's probably still as skinny as she is.
Ask long as they have Hot Pockets. They fuel the blog posts.
