Le Vieux Logis building transformation progress (Photos)

A couple of months back I reported that the former Le Vieux Logis building at 7925 Old Georgetown Road had been gutted, and was undergoing a complete renovation. You can now see the windows that have been added to the front and side facades.

The design work was performed by the local architecture firm of Steven J. Karr, AIA, Inc., which has many other credits in the Woodmont Triangle, including the Saah Building just down the street from here. While the French restaurant's quaint facade graphics made it something of a landmark over the decades, the hope was to create a more-appealing space for a future retail or restaurant tenant. Karr's design did was successful at the Saah Building, which attracted several new tenants following the alterations, including Guru Groceries and Chaat House Indian Market and the Friends with Style consignment shop.
