Sala Thai is temporarily closed this afternoon at 4828 Cordell Avenue in Bethesda. The cause for the unexpected closure is an "emergency," according to a sign on the door. It does not state what the emergency is. However, two trucks and personnel from Purofirst of Rockville, a water and fire damage restoration service, are on-site at this time.

Sewer backup?
No great loss there... Several years ago staff was rude & nasty to my wheelchair lady friend who was concerned about cross-contamination of seafood because of her severe allergy, (I used to go there frequently before that incident) to get shrimp pad Thai, and have not been back since!
