Mayflower Chinese Food has officially closed at 7925 Norfolk Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The restaurant has been cleared out over the last few days. It operated for over 23 years, an impressive run amid Montgomery County's moribund economy and the County Council's anti-business policies. Ultimately, the property was sold and an agreement on a new lease could not be reached.
