Signage has been installed outside the new storefront of the expanded Bone Jour at 4923 Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The doggie daycare and boarding facility is in the process of doubling in size. Its front reception desk will switch from the existing 4922 Del Ray Avenue side of the business over to this side. The awning signage includes the Bone Jour website address, but - so far - no lighted signage like the Del Ray side has.

Bone Jour expanding in Bethesda
Bone Jour, a doggie daycare and pet boutique at 4922 Del Ray Avenue in downtown Bethesda, is about to double in size. It is expanding into the former Dryclean Club building directly behind it at 4923 Cordell Avenue. Workers there have been converting the interior for several months, including installing the noise reduction measures Montgomery County requires of dog training and boarding facilities.
The reception desk will flip over to the Cordell side when the work is completed. Kennels will be located in both buildings, and there will now be more daycare roaming room for each size of dog. Bone Jour has been in business since 1986.

Police searching for Bone Jour burglars in Bethesda (Video + Photos)
Montgomery County police are asking for the public's help in taking a bite out of crime, by identifying and locating two suspects in a recent break-in at Bone Jour at 4922 Del Ray Avenue in Bethesda. On Monday, August 7, 2023, at an undisclosed time, the rear door of the business was pried open. A female suspect then entered through the door. Police did not identify any property being stolen from inside the business, but report that "a bundle of permanent balloons" outside the business was taken.
Police describe Suspect #1 as a White male in his twenties, with short hair and a medium build, wearing glasses, a t-shirt, shorts and shoes. He is also seen wearing a watch on his left wrist. Suspect #2 is described as a White female in her twenties with long hair, wearing a winter hat, a long-sleeved sweater, shorts and shoes. Neither appeared to realize their faces would be visible on surveillance cameras, footage from which has been released by detectives.
Anyone with information regarding these suspects or this crime is asked to visit the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, MD website at www.crimesolversmcmd.org and click on the “www.p3tips.com” link at the top of the page, or call 1-866-411-8477. One other celebrity will be there: Aly's dog, Izzy.

What's in it for Fido? Gourmet dog treats from Bone Jour.
What's in it for shelter animals? All proceeds go to the Montgomery County Humane Society.
There will also be music, and you and your dog might earn celebrity status yourselves, if your picture ends up on the Mix107.3 website.
The cost is only $15 per person, and $25 per couple.
The current weather forecast predicts a 60% chance of rain Tuesday evening, so call ahead to Redwood if it's raining significantly, to make sure it's not postponed before heading out.
