Giant Food is urgently alerting customers about a recall of Daniella-brand mangoes, sold at all of its local stores. The Mexican mangoes have already been blamed for a salmonella outbreak in Canada. While 22 cases exist in Canada, none have yet been reported locally.
The mangoes were sold between July 12 and August 24. They are labeled with price code PLU 4959.
Symptoms of salmonella can include severe intestinal upset, fever, and chills.
