Booze-infused candy bars and artisan fudge will soon fill the empty Chloes' NY Style Deli space by Chick-Fil-A at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Chocolate Moonshine Co. is promising chocolate bars, truffles and fudge that are "Illegally good."
Some chocolate bars will be made with bourbon, whiskey, champagne, rum, and Barrel aged Irish whiskey. Their Moonshine Bars are filled with smooth and creamy centers. All bars are gluten-free, and made with only natural and organic ingredients. Their fudge is cooked in small, 50-pound batches, with 30% less sugar than competing products.
Chocolate Moonshine Co. will open in early October, and is the latest in a boom of candy and chocolate stores to open in southern Montgomery County.
Meanwhile, GameStop is making a triumphant return to the mall, just as the holiday shopping season approaches. The store will take over the recently-vacated Redskins Store on Level 1, in the Old Navy wing of the retail center.

Booze infused chocolate in a mall food court filled with kids and families? That is maybe the dumbest concept I've ever heard of. And for adults too. Yeah, let's go to the mall and have a meal and do our shopping and we'll get hammered on spiked treats while we're at it? This, my friends, is a failure before opening.
