Montgomery Mall shooting result of argument; Patrizia Luca moves; Sears springs forward (Photos)

Montgomery County police said last evening that shots fired in the parking lot of Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda around 7:08 PM Friday night were the result of a "verbal argument." Only the parties involved in that argument were involved in the shooting, detectives believe. Police say they still have not found any victims of the shooting.

Two groups of two males each squared off in an argument near the mall property, police said. The dispute continued onto the mall parking lot, where one suspect opened fire on the other party. They then fled, police said, and none of the suspects has been arrested or located yet.

In other mall news, Patrizia Luca has relocated to the just-vacated Sheepskin Gifts & Alpaca, Too space. Meanwhile, Sears is defying the endless string of Nor'Easters hitting the area with their Spring Fling sale.

One person was held by police but later released. Lot of blacks at the mall in recent years so I suspect it was a few brothers arguing cause you know they're always strapped.

I heard the two parties were arguing about whether Montgomery Mall was a dead mall, and if Hans Riemer and MoCo's moribund economy were to blame.

One guy called the other a knucklehead, and the other retorted with "old sport", and the gun battle was on!

Ohhhhh, so it wasn't as the result of an agreement...

Gotta love how criticisms of the author’s coverage are quietly deleted while racist bull$h!t goes unchallenged.

Dyer is just dying to put the wooden stake in Sears with his omnipresent death wises.

I heard this was MS-13 knuckleheads versus Crip dumbasses, with mutual threats of bodyslamming through glass coffee tables and five-finger death punches.
