Six weeks later, no arrests in Westbard shooting

The March 29, 2025 shooting on Westbard Avenue can hardly be termed a cold case yet, but a sixth week has passed without any announcement of an arrest in the shocking incident. Two people were wounded in the shooting outside of Bowlero at 5353 Westbard Avenue at 12:13 AM that morning. We know that those two victims are also two of potentially many witnesses to what unfolded there; there are surveillance cameras at the bowling alley, Westbard Square, and Westwood Tower; and that there are surveillance, traffic, and doorbell cameras along every potential route of escape taken by the shooter(s). As the sixth week passed, the Montgomery County Council and Montgomery County Police Department have maintained their silence on the incident, which was without precedent in the Westbard area of Bethesda.

Makes me wonder if anyone in the MCPD is even slightly embarrassed?

How many bullet shells on the ground? All those bullets fired. One road, many cameras, no news. I think Robert is the only person following up. Very sad. And inviting. We deserve what we get, and what we vote for.

Never thought I'd say this in a thousand years but as, now, an enlightened Liberal, between these local crime stumbles, Senator Van Hollen, the questionable new Senator Alsobrooks and big talker Gov, Moore, I'm getting a bit embarrassed by Maryland. We seem to be moving backwards, as even California is now slowly embracing harsh realities.

Apparently, you have never dealt with any of them.

This isn't even a difficult ask to get geolocation data to see who was there. Fact is that some higher authority has put this on the back burner. One would think that the governor would be interested, as we already know the Councils priorities are to punish law abiding citizens for things like gas powered leaf blowers, and VanHollen is keep busy trying to bring back MS-13 gang members, but he's busy spending money that MD taxpayers don't have.

It is known as the "Free State" so anything goes.

Not investigating and then seldom prosecuting is the second phase of many liberal states effort to hinder statistical compilation of crime. The first stage was a combination of purposeful combining Latino and White numbers and not publishing descriptions of criminals, leaving out race. It backfired, a bit, since now no description, hasbecome a description. The next logical step is to simply not pursue.

Simply, contemporary 'Wizards of Oz."

Leave, as I did

Give the police time to do their jobs. You are not in danger. LOL

And as I have pondered as have others, on MoCo Police chief and Elrich not mentioning this at all, one has to conclude that it doesn't make them look good. Well, that's cowardly. How bout getting on TV and telling these creeps that it's time to stop? How bout putting out a clear message that MoCo will be implementing a zero tolerance policy? MoCo and MD, often not mentioned on the national stage, is in the news across the nation and not for a good reason. We have serious MS-13 illegal alien monster criminals that we won't turn over to ICE. Great job on voting in Elrich. He has almost 4 years left in his new term. Worst exec we've ever had.

Conjecture that they aren't working on this... but whatever

The problem with 6:24 is that of comprehension or that everything needs to be explained in detail. The ones complaining about the lack of progress in arresting the perpetrators aren't typically the ones worried because they already know that when trouble starts and seconds matter, police are minutes away.

He signature trademark is his weekly message that is inaudible.

Assuming they do their jobs, all the perpetrators are going to get is a slap on their wrists.

11:39 Bingo! You're right, of course they're working this! And they're working all the other ones too. It's just that nothing ever comes of it, or the earlier close call human caused gun discharges. A file on the desk is considered 'working,' in such liberal jurisdictions nowadays.

"A file on the desk is considered 'working,' in such liberal jurisdictions nowadays." I believe you meant an archived file. . .
