Our local moribundness can't take much more of all these Class A Trophy office buildings.
Is it time for Bob the Builder to done the hardhat and get an interior view?
Any word on Judicial Watch's lawsuit against Montgomery County, regarding deads allegedly voting?
I'm asking because Judicial Watch are now openly advocating on behalf of those who let Russia steal the 2016 election.
@7:11 80% leased too...a year before it even opens
I love what Dyer is doing for MoCo with his reports!
Project seems advanced enough that they could move their dumpster back onto their property and put in a covered walkway on that side of the street.
SCOOOOOPED ON BUGER FI!!!!!!!
@10:20 AM I think they still need to use the lane on Bethesda Avenue for concrete trucks and glass curtain wall staging and installation. The still need to construct their new curb and sidewalk as well. I think the posted sidewalk closure signage permit shows the sidewalk will reopen on 02-07-19.
Robert, any new info on a potential tenant for the market in 4749 Bethesda?
@12:07PM: That kind of activity explains why they need the sidewalk during work hours. It does not justify a 24x7 closure.
10:53: We all got the press release, dumbass.
@12:25 PM
They are constructing the project from 7AM to 11PM M-F and on Saturdays from 7 AM -5 PM, and have received a night time construction permit for the county to install the 8’ wide x 24’ high glass window assemblies. This requires the crane to lift the glass from the delivery truck parked in the (barricaded) curb lane, placing the pieces in the same area for prep work befor being lifted with the crane and bolted to the building. They are going remarkable fast on this installation, and I assume it will speed up now that the main concrete structure is nearly completed, freeing up the crane crane so it now can be used druring the day to install windows.
This building will be fully enclosed and will look completed from the outside by this February, with tenants moving in later in the year. In February, they will complete the new sidewalk and the new 12’ wide, two-way, separated bike lane on the north side of Bethesda Avenue, running from Woodmont to Wisconsin. This is part of the non-underground alternative path for the CCT for those that don’t want to use the new tunnel that will be built south of the Purple Line Tunnel. I am not sure if the CCT tunnel under Wisconsin, and how it connects to the CCT west of Wisconsin through Elm Park is designed or funded at this point. Perhaps others can fill us in on the progress of these items.
What is going on (or not) with the Marriott HQ? Seems like there has been nothing done for weeks.
5:33: I think they are about to get started any day now - they have been posting notice of sidewalk/lane closures in the last week.
