Here is the latest progress on Shelter Development's Brightview Bethesda assisted living apartment building, located at 4907 Rugby Avenue. Donohoe is the construction contractor. Delivery is expected in 2019.
Brightview Bethesda will be for assisted living and memory care residents, with a secure second floor for dementia patients. Floors 3-7 will be assisted living divided into studios, and 1-and-2-bedroom apartment units. Units will have kitchenettes, but 3 meals a day will be served in the building. Activity rooms are also planned for patients.

This is really going to activate Rugby Ave. Excited for this project.
Hopefully they will open a Hot Shoppes Cafeteria in the Galleria II.
You know this project is a stinker when none of the development lackeys are out touting it. In what respect was this a good land use decision? This is a block killer in a block that could have had more high-value residential with high-income residents who pay a lot of taxes so that the rest of us don't have to.
