Poke Papa posts coming soon signage at Westfield Montgomery Mall

Poke Papa, which I previously reported is on the way to Westfield Montgomery Mall, has posted "coming soon' signage in the Dining Terrace. Currently found on H Street in the District, Poke Papa will bring its Hawaiian-inspired recipes to the current poke bowl craze in Bethesda.

This could be good. Honey Poke Bowl in Congressional Plaza is incredible. Honey Grow on the other hand, sucks.

Counting the ballots on election night will be a breeze in your category. My guess and Vegas odds put you at DFL!

Just in case anyone isn't sure about the beer/wine in grocery stores policy; that is a state law, not a County one. The state of Maryland only allows one beer/wine/liquor sales license per owner. So the Trones can have two "Total Wine" stores because one is owned by David, the other by his brother. They cannot have any more locations. The Shoppers in College Park that sells beer and wine is the only one in the state to do so.

All of which leads me to ask Robert - what is your plan, if elected to the Council, to change this law on a state level? If you cannot get the legislature to change the law, will you take responsibility for the failure? If you are not elected, will you lobby the Montgomery delegation to work on this issue in the legislature? What is your actual plan to get beer and wine into grocery stores?

The sign for Poki Papa says Coming Spring 2019. It is currently Summer 2019. What are the contributory favorites regarding the delay of a restaurant that doesn't seem to be too complex of an operation? Thank you!

9:12: Based on past experience, it would likely either be delays on financing or with the construction work not being passed by County inspectors.
