Casa Oaxaca to take over TacoArepa space in Bethesda

The new tenant in the vacant TacoArepa space at 4905 Fairmont Avenue will keep the cuisine Latin American. Mexican restaurant Casa Oaxaca will take over there soon, having signed a lease a few weeks ago. It will be interesting to see how they utilize the outdoor patio area when the weather turns warmer.

Breaking Bethesda news...when you want to be the first to know.

5:22: How is not breaking news? I am the first to report this. It was leased a few weeks back, but you thought I would report on it before I knew what the restaurant was?

It already has a Yelp review. Weird.

Sorry, wrong link for the Yelp page.

Is this any relation to the restaurant of the same name that used to be in Adams-Morgan?

5:36: Not to my knowledge. The owner of this was not an owner of that Adams Morgan location at the time it closed.

I see a trademark lawsuit in their future.

Is this one going to be run by the same people as TacoArepa (the Roche brothers)? Seems like their might empire has fallen, with the failures of Taco Arepa, R's Family Kitchen, TapaBar, BoldBite.. and is 202 Donuts still around or is that gone too?

7:07: No, different owner.

I love these reports.

@6:53 AM.....how is this a case for trademark infringement? Casa is Spanish for "house" and Oaxaca is a state in Mexico.

I hope this isn't run by the Roche brothers. All of their restaurants have sucked and Taco Arepa, despite having a Frida Kahlo mural, had horrible tacos.

Happy Margarita day, folks

Another huge failure coming. DC food people won't come to Bethesda for some bizarre reason. Neither will NOVA which is a shame. Taco Bomba comes to mind.
