Update on Six Ways to Sunday gastropub in Bethesda

Six Ways to Sunday
, a Sino-Siamese gastropub, is scheduled to open this summer at 8003 Norfolk Avenue in downtown Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle neighborhood. Construction continues inside. The restaurant has applied for a liquor license from Montgomery County. Its application is now scheduled for review by the liquor control board on July 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM. This can give us a rough idea on when to expect the gastropub to open.

Terrible name for a restaurant. With a slight tweak, it could be a good name for an ice cream parlor.

Cinco - I see what you did there. Very clever. What does Sino-Siamese even mean? The real issue for places like this and to be fair, many more, is that Bethesda really has no nightlife. This isn't Arlington or Del Rey in Alexandria or other areas chock-full of young couples or singles who obviously are a huge nightlife population. Add to that this place which makes no sense name and otherwise. What's their cuisine? No one knows. Good luck and before anyone snarks back, it takes a heck of a lot of money just to keep the doors open and that's all drinking and dining establishments not just this one which seems obscure.

I would guess their cuisine will be Chinese-Thai.

Chuck Schumer and his CIA buddies must be involved in that naming....
