As I stood in front of the shuttered Bertucci's restaurant in dying White Flint Mall, two young women passed behind me. Surveying the empty corridors, one said, "It's like a ghost town in here!"

The winding-down mall's customer traffic is best measured with a PKE Meter these days.

Is it a zombie movie set, or a successful mall turned into retail haunted house overnight by an operator eager to cash in on speculative real estate profits?

The mall should be called "White Flint Z" at this point.
There's been a lack a communication about what's going on with all the mall store closures.

Shoppers need to ask at each individual store to find out closing dates and possible new locations.

More worrisome is the closing of small locally-owned businesses throughout White Flint in favor of national chains. This is the plan from the county councilmembers and CX Leggett. This is what the voters want.
