CARBON MONOXIDE LEAK ON BATTERY LANE IN BETHESDA EVACUATES BUILDING, 10 TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITALS

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Public Information Officer Scott Graham says a carbon monoxide leak in the 5000 block of Battery Lane has led to the evacuation of one building, and at least 10 victims have been sent to local hospitals.

Scanner reports suggest the affected building is The Middlebrooke at 5015 Battery Lane, and that at least one patient was evacuated by Medevac state police helicopter. Those details have yet to be officially confirmed.

Firefighters continue to search the building for victims, and you should avoid Battery Lane at this time.
