Tyber Bierhaus will replace The Box Bar and Grill at one of downtown Bethesda's most difficult restaurant locations, 7525 Old Georgetown Road. It is the second beer-centric business to emerge in Bethesda in the last month, after Piazza Beer Garden.
After Box owner Jason McCarther's plan to open his new Roc Bar live music concept fell through, the space sat vacant for months.
Very close to the Bethesda Metro station, you would think this spot would draw big after-work crowds of commuters passing by. Here's hoping this means some more German beers in downtown Bethesda.
