MORE VEHICLE BREAK-INS NORTH OF CEDAR LANE; 2 DOWNTOWN BETHESDA BURGLARIES REPORTED - BETHESDA CRIME UPDATE

A vehicle break-in in Devonshire East was reported two days after Tuesday's vehicle burglaries there. All 3 incidents were on Cedarwood Drive.

Thieves struck in several other neighborhoods north of Cedar Lane on Wednesday and Thursday, according to police data.

There were also 2 burglaries reported in downtown Bethesda on Thursday, not far apart geographically.

October 10

Burglary. 8100 block Woodmont Avenue.

Burglary. 4900 block St. Elmo Avenue.

Theft. 7000 block Wisconsin Avenue.

Vehicle burglary. 8700 Burning Tree Road.

Theft. 6000 block Roosevelt Street.

Theft. 6400 block Rockledge Drive.

Vehicle burglary. 11000 block Cedarwood Drive.

Vehicle burglary. 5900 block Kingswood Road.

Vehicle burglary. 5800 block Ipswich Road.

That's my house on one of the addresses mentioned. Unfortunately the guest who was staying with me didn't think to bring everything in so the criminals got it all. I surely hope the person has been caught. If not, I hope, even more, that a black cloud lingers over them forever.
