Nothing on the fitness center coming to the post office? Would love to hear your take on it

And the sudden closure of Pitzze?

Robert Dyer said...

Try to be a bit less obvious in your spamming. A CIA career is not in your future.

I think the Pittze thing is a big story. That would be the 2nd pizza place in Bethesda to have rent troubles.

We eat there every few weeks and the pizzas are decent and my daughter likes to watch the oven in action.

We walked by yesterday afternoon and not even a sign on the door about the closure.

Apparently, the owed close to $60k in rent.

@ 5:41 AM - it wasn't just one other local blog that covered these stories, while you were busy berating your own readers. Try to be a little less obvious in your resentment.

Anonymous said...

The only person berating anyone is "anonymous". Dyer is quite positive and level headed amidst your odd creepy comments.

Anonymous said...

Breaking: Pittze's owner exclusively tells me they're not closing. They will re-open with an entirely new concept: better for you spam. The menu will indeed be all you can eat spam pies, spam burgers and spam salad.

Robert reports good stuff but doesn't always have every scoop and that's ok. I think we can lay off this type of commenting where it's not really justified.

The CIA comment just doesn't make any sense though.

@ 6:54 AM - it's odd that you consistently use "pie" as a label for pizza. Are you stuck in another decade? Do you also say "hi-fi" and "groovy"?

Anonymous said...

I never said it was spam pizza pies. I just said pie.

Anonymous said...

Wrol: not getting every scoop is one thing. deleting comments and refusing to acknowledge the things people in bethesda are talking about because they were talked about on another blog is another

It's also funny that Dyer has never mentioned Marriott's threat to leave MoCo. Usually, that's the kind of story he loves - the MoCo Machine that can't shoot straight losing another Fortune 500 company. Perhaps it's because of this radioactive quote from Marriott's CEO:

"I think it’s essential we be accessible to Metro and that limits the options. I think as with many other things our younger folks are more inclined to be Metro-accessible and more urban."

Why do you care?

@ 11:23 AM -

Why do you care that he cares?

Randall said...

CIA? Huh??

Anonymous said...

Why do you care about the person who cares about he/she who cares?

Anonymous said...

Robert deletes offensive comments and spam. we, his readers, thank him. We don't want to read that stuff.

Robert Dyer said...

6:35: Spammers aren't readers. You used the word "resentment," which not only makes no sense, but proves you're that same guy posting troll comments again. Get a life.

Anonymous said...

How is it spamming for people to ask about other happening around town? Why are you so defensive when other people report stories first? Who cares? It seems like you're the one who needs to get a life, Dyer, and loosen up while you're at it.

7:33 AM"

Are you saying pies are not groovy?

Robert Dyer said...

11:08: If they already knew about the story, why would they be asking about it? The problem is yours. Why would I have to "loosen up" when I'm not the one spamming on other news outlets' websites? I don't recall you posting on other websites when I reported about the kickboxing gym weeks ago. You've got to be consistent and not have a double standard if you don't want to give yourself away as a spammer.

Anonymous said...

Again with the comparisons. You have a good site. Stop feelings under appreciated and undervalued. You are good enough to not have to compare yourself to others all the time. Ignore the BS comments.

Robert Dyer said...

"Underappreciated and undervalued?"

"I don't recall you posting on other websites when I reported about the kickboxing gym weeks ago. You've got to be consistent and not have a double standard if you don't want to give yourself away as a spammer."

That doesn't even make sense. The ppl who run other sites don't insult their readers all day, especially if they're just asking for details about other stories. It's unfortunate that you feel the need to constantly be such an asshole.

Robert Dyer said...

8:10: No reader was asking for details - a spammer was spamming. All the foul language in the world doesn't make your argument any stronger than it was 2 days ago.

Anonymous said...

Is this nut gonna troll Dyer's site all weekend? Sad.
Dyer's not jumping through hoops for some psycho blogger. Why do you need attention from Robert? You sound crazy now. Stop it.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous negative guy needs to put his energy into something good instead of trying to pull Dyer down every day. Really, you're better than that.

Anonymous said...

How is someone saying "[n]othing on the fitness center coming to the post office? Would love to hear your take on it" "spamming"? Do you not know what "spamming" means or something? You come across as such a dolt, Dyer.

I also love how you comment anonymously, Dyer, to pretend like you have supporters. Or do you honestly expect me to believe random people repeatedly come along and agree with you anytime you post something? The blog post is a half week old, yet, magically, someone comes along and agrees with you 6 minutes after you post something. Yeah, okay Dyer. If you're pathetic enough to create fake comments of support, at least be smarter about it.

10:22am is nuts. He thinks he's the only one that reads Dyer's site? And no one likes it? Time to tighten your tin foil hat 10:22. Too many conspriracy theories.
Its Saturday, lighten up.

Anonymous said...

10:22 AM - It's probably not Dyer, but someone else with that name.

Anonymous said...

10:22 has too many conspiracy theories versus Dyer?

Anonymous said...

Tighten your tinfoil hats folks. Robert's crazy stalker/blogger is online again, bringing his drama and conspiracy theories to Robert's site.
I don't think riding Dyer is a good longterm career strategy. Create something positive, enterprising, and of value, like Dyer is and you might make a name for yourself. You're better than these petty and whiny attacks.

Anonymous said...

Dyer has the conspiracy theory corner covered well enough. No need for commenters to chip in. He does well enough on his own.

Frank said...

Sure there are plenty of anonymous commentators but it is interesting to note that every single Dyer supporter is anonymous.

Anonymous said...

Which in Robert's perspective constitutes facts and evidence.

Robert Dyer said...

7:56: "Frank", did you happen to notice that all the negative comments are anonymous?

Robert Dyer said...

10:22: If you think I have no support in the community, it's just more evidence of delusion on your part.

3:15: "Conspiracy theories"?

Anonymous said...

"10:22: If you think I have no support in the community, it's just more evidence of delusion on your part."

Who said that? Are you illiterate or do you honestly not see the strawman you're fighting? I said you're a dork for writing anonymous comments and not very smart in the way you go about doing it, that's all.

Kudos for not even addressing my main point that you're oblivious to what "spamming" actually means. Words have definitions; try using them appropriately. Anyone with two eyes can see you're a shitty person for denigrating the first commenters.

Robert Dyer said...

12:48: You not only said it, you just said it again. If you believe that there are no readers on this blog, and that there's noone who would defend me in the comments section, you are again showing what a delusional person you are. You, as an "anonymous" troll are complaining about anonymous responses from readers? That's rich. Until you have the courage to put your real name to your statements as I do, you have zero credibility. If you are so righteous in your claims, why are you too scared to tell everyone who you are? Embarrassing.

The comments posted were clearly spam, designed to divert traffic to other websites. Those were not readers posting those 2 comments. I can't imagine what your alternate universe definition of spam is.

Anonymous said...

Skeptics have given up using their names, because Dyer harasses them so much when they do.

When the identity of Dyer's little shill is revealed, he will never be able to show his face at the Westbard McDonalds and 7-11 again.

Robert Dyer said...

9:25: The trolls on here never posted under their real names to begin with.

I'll remind you again that your comments are being recorded to be forwarded to law enforcement as needed in the future.

Your ongoing efforts to harass, threaten, defame and intimidate me are illegal under County, Maryland and federal laws.

I again urge you to be smart and cease your harassment.

Anonymous said...

"Your ongoing efforts to harass, threaten, defame and intimidate me are illegal under County, Maryland and federal laws."

How does the comment about your shill have anything to do with that?

Robert Dyer said...

6:27: You just made a threatening statement in an ongoing campaign of harassment that is apparently an attempt to intimidate me. That's illegal.
