Bethesda construction update: Fish Taco (Photos)

Updated 7:14 PM: The article has been updated to note that the Wisconsin Avenue Fish Taco location closed June 10. A previous incorrect statement by Fish Taco had stated that location would not close until the new one was ready to open.

Work continues inside the future Fish Taco at 7251 Woodmont Avenue at Bethesda Row. Construction had already been delayed once, and will now fail to meet the second targeted opening of June 2018. The restaurant is now expected to open next month. This location will be a lot easier to access for a greater number of downtown Bethesda workers and residents than the original Wisconsin Avenue restaurant.

Robert - Do you have any comments on Initiative 77 in the District, which would eliminate the tipped minimum wage? If it is passed, do you think it would encourage restaurants, bars and "nightspots" in the District to relocate to Montgomery County, especially to Bethesda and Silver Spring?

Good time to remind everyone that Sears is still open at Montgomery Mall.

Delete all you want, Mr Dyer, but we all know you got the correct information from your readers.

8:55 Good time to remind everyone that nobody ever said Sears was closing — except Sears themselves!!

2:29pm Sears never announced they were closing in Bethesda. It was a false report and had to be retracted.

2:56: Sears notified the state that they were closing the store, and that's what was reported. Nothing false about it.

4:20 PM They were not closing, so it was a false report. Sears must have been livid to have a magazine claiming their Bethesda store was closing.

7:41 I seriously doubt Sears was “livid” about about a press outlet faithfully repeating their own announcement.

I know the Attaboys are desperate to point out an oopsie at the other place but you need to find a better example.

Was Washington Business Journal "lying", too?
