Alfred said the more affordable prices will not only make 4935 more competitive for dining dollars, but is also an attempt to be "more neighborhood friendly" for nearby residents.

Why put the area code in parentheses? 10-digit-dialing has been required for local calls for over two decades.
And why not link to the restaurant's website, so that readers can see the new menu with the new prices?
How much are they being lowered by? Do they have lunchtime specials?
So did you try any of the food, to verify whether they avoided "reducing the quality of the food or ingredients"?
Never heard of the place till now.
Try it out guys. Let's support our local businesses!
Lower prices is usually not a good sign.
The main problem of the place is that it looks more like a lounge bar/nightclub than a restaurant, making it not really welcoming for casual dining customers...
Yeah I agree. I keep hearing great things about their food, but the ambience has me not wanting to really go try it.
This used to be a high-end Italian restaurant called Tragara. Never went but always wondered how good it was.
Maybe their windows are too small? I walked by Tragara many times but never went in.
Yeah it's like a DC club feel or something. But I do hear people say their food is really good. Just not interested in that kind of ambience here so I haven't tried it yet.
Steve, Tragara was quite good. Their chef was from the famous Rive Gauche in DC. I think the main reason they closed was the health of the owner, who subsequently passed away after the sale.
