Remember those renderings of the public art sculpture I showed you a while back? The real thing has been installed in the park behind the new Flats at Bethesda Avenue apartments. It's worth going by to check out.
The stainless steel and glass sculpture is called, "New Starts".

Yesterday around 5:30p, I watched an old lady drive through this area (marked as the CCT detour) and got all the way to the water fountain area before trail patrons managed to turn her around. It was a sight to behold as she was assisted in making a 40-point U-turn to get her back out of there. Time to get that license revoked, granny!
12:40: I wonder if they will add bollards or some other device to prevent that, like on the CCT at Little Falls Parkway.
Only as they are out of season, murmurs a room with a different view.
A snowy 'scape shall embue them. I will watch them quietly in the snow,
pondering Frost: "Whose woods these are, I think I know ..." *
Yeah I can see it being pretty in the winter. But it looks like dead trees or sticks now.
@12:40PM & @1:40PM Robert- In the mid 90's when the CCT was relatively new I was biking northbound on the trail after the Dalecarlia Reservoir when I was very surprised that a non police car was coming at me (very fast). It turned out to be an old lady who was lost and she had turned on to the trail at River Road (this was before they had a pedestrian bridge). So me and another biker helped her do a 40 pt turnaround and kind of escorted her out of the trail. It was really bizarre and opened my eyes to the fact some people need their licenses revoked at a certain age.
@ 10:14 PM - Are you that local crazy lady who wrote the lines on the benches at the Circulator stops?
I thought his/her response well well put. Gave me additional perspective on my original opinion.
