First glass installed at Marriott headquarters (Photos)

The first glass panes have been installed at the future Marriott International hotel and relocated headquarters at 7750 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. They are on the first floor above the Tastee Diner, as you can see here. Marriott is relocating its current Fernwood Road headquarters to this location.

Your photos make it look like the diner is a toy. Won't be long for them. They should have sold when they had the chance. No one has a crystal ball but they have gotten crushed by this shutdown.

No one wants to eat in a small, poorly ventilated rail car sized structure.

Gene is retirement age and owns the building, so he'll be alright. I'm more concerned for the staff.

No one cares, in-office work is now DEAD. WFH is the new way of life.

I agree about in-office work. Ultimately, I expect many office buildings will be converted to residential. Maybe then we can finally solve the homelessness problem.
