The interior fit-out of the new Nike Store at 7117 Arlington Road at Bethesda Row is well underway. But progress isn't as far along as I expected. This space was previously home to Amazon Books, for a visual comparison. Here's a sneak peek:

This is going to be an exciting and interesting addition to Bethesda. Court sports are kinda at the 'opposite end' of Ferragamo and Pilates. Why did Nike shut down their Georgetown store?
So it looks like Federal Realty is getting rid of the fountains at both ends of Bethesda Avenue and using the streatery as the excuse.

Let's hope it's not because of "shrinkage," theft, and security issues! Of course, it could also be that a Bethesda store offereds better Metro access, too.
