Construction of the new plaza and fountain outside of Anthropologie at Bethesda Row continues, as the project is now a few weeks away from a second-but-unofficial completion date, October 31, 2023. The painstaking process of installing pavers in the surface of the plaza is now underway. More obvious to passersby is the canopy that will cover part of the plaza area. Finally, you can see some of the works inside the fountain itself have been installed. This has been described as an "interactive fountain" by property owner Federal Realty, so there is excitement in the air to find out what that entails when it is activated this fall or next spring.

Thank you for making that area a construction mess all summer.
Close Woodmont and bring back the streatery you cowards!
Here is a question for people involved in development: How much do these projects
increase foot traffic? i thought the space before this was good -I am remembering correctly that there was a fountain? So why tear out a nice fountain and put another one in? What is the benefit?
The Barnes and Noble was more important IMHO as a meeting spot.

Any timeline for completion?
I've noticed that a lot of projects (not including new building construction) are taking an awful long time to complete.
Another example is the open/courtyard space behind The Metropolitan and Bethesda Place apartment buildings. Although it's not visible from the street, it's quite the eyesore!!
