Sisters Sandwiches & Such opens in Bethesda

Sisters Sandwiches & Such
has opened its third Montgomery County location in downtown Bethesda. It is located at 4520 East-West Highway. The deli sandwich shop serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also offers catering services. Sisters has existing locations in Olney and Germantown. Can this fill the role abdicated by Booeymonger on East-West Highway?

Those would be big shoes to fill. By the way, all Booeymonger locations closed. And just when you thought that iconic spot was gone forever, somehow, the original location on Jennifer Street, reopened. Strange.

Booeymonger had jumped the shark years ago when they strayed from the original recipes for most of their sandwich offerings.

I hope they do well. We need a good lunch place on that block.

I like the food at Booeymonger. The East-West Highway locale was filthy though.

8:20 - Yeah, you're probably right. I also think Sisters will have an uphill climb in Bethesda. That location would seek to capitalize on commuters walking by, BCC kids (I guess) and office workers seeking coffee, lunch, etc. Not the type of downtown environment that it was pre-Covid that's for sure.

Prices from their other locations look quite reasonable.

There is still one in Friendship Heights.
