GAYLORD LAMPS CLOSING IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

Gaylord Lamps, located in the ground floor of Fairmont Plaza, is closing. They are also (I am detecting a theme here today, folks) having an everything-must-go sale. The store had a moment in the spotlight years back when someone in the George W. Bush administration shopped there. Does anyone remember who it was?

These retail units in Fairmont Plaza are going to be able to charge a lot higher rent in the future, after the 2 JBG buildings are up and running next door and across Veterans Park. As well as the Bainbridge Bethesda. Woodmont Triangle is going to take on more of a Bethesda Row atmosphere at that point, and Fairmont Plaza is in a prime spot to capitalize on both condo sale prices, and retail leasing.
