KRAZE BURGERS TO OPEN 2ND BETHESDA LOCATION (PHOTOS)

Kraze Burgers will soon have a second Bethesda restaurant, this time at Westfield Montgomery Mall.

After acquiring a Cheesecake Factory, Westfield getting the Korean burger chain is the latest upgrade for the growing mall's revamped dining lineup. Kraze Burgers will be located in the expanding new food court, currently under extensive renovation and construction.

Kraze Burgers' first U.S. location was at Bethesda Row.

There's more burger news out of Montgomery Mall this morning: McDonald's will reopen this fall, also in the food court.

And the location of the long-awaited Bobby's Burger Palace is going to be in the Old Navy wing, on the mall's lower level, right by the entrance.

Montgomery Mall is now one upscale restaurant away from being entirely competitive with Tysons Corner. If Westfield could lure a new Great American Restaurants group establishment to the mall, that would certainly do it. The Virginia restaurant firm recently ended its Virginia-exclusive business model by signing a lease for a Coastal Flats in Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg. Why not Bethesda?

Any other info on how the timeline of the food court & Arclight Theater were impacted by the accident in the garage? Are they still on track to deliver the completed restaurant/theater wing next Spring?

Yes, there was a delay due to work having to stop, and having to get the green light to resume again. I'm not sure at this point if it was significant enough to delay opening or not.

Have they resumed? Just last week there didn't appear to be any structural work being started for the ArcLight on top of the garage.

The iPic @ Pike and Rose, by comparison, is vastly further along and was, if anything, set to open after the ArcLight.
