The Kenwood Golf and Country Club's canceled July 3 fireworks, that were - according to an employee contacted by phone on July 4 - supposedly being rescheduled for this Labor Day weekend, have failed to materialize.
While club members will still enjoy holiday festivities this weekend, there are no fireworks on the program. No "fireworks-only" tickets were offered either, as always have been for July 4th.
Do they simply get put away for next year? Did the club get its money back?
What was the advantage of not rescheduling the fireworks?
Very disappointing.

Rumor has it that they were able to negotiate rolling the fireworks to next year if the club was willing to have the fireworks on a less popular night, hence the 2014 fireworks will be on Sunday June 29th.
