Bethesda construction update: Solaire Bethesda luxury apartments (Photos)

Construction continues at the future Solaire Bethesda luxury apartments, at 7100 Wisconsin Avenue. The Washington Property Company project will hold 139 units, and 6100 SF of retail that will be anchored by a True Food Kitchen restaurant. Delivery of the first completed units was anticipated for February 2016, but that seems questionable at this point. Completion of the project is scheduled for June 2016.

Have any significant milestones in the construction of this building, been reached?

Which photos, if any, show something that cannot easily be observed by anyone passing by in a car or bus or on foot?

In other words, what exactly is newsworthy here?

8:27: Sounds like sour grapes over day after day of timely, enterprising coverage of Bethesda,. Didn't get the story? "That wasn't newsworthy, anyway, who cares?"

Construction updates are a regular feature here. A simple look back will show you the progress made on any project. I can understand architecture and construction may not be of interest to you, but can assure you there are many readers - and apartment/condo shoppers - who feel otherwise, and have told me so.

If you can't tell what's newsworthy about hyperlocal news, don't take it out on those who can.

Any news on the Darcy? I read the home sale listings and they seem to have sold 5-10 condos there in the last few weeks, and a number of them are around $1.5-1.7mln. I'm surprised they were able to sell so many at that price.

I've wondered if the Flats apartments are renting well. At night I've noticed the front sides of the building are completely dark, as if no one lives in the building.

They're probably filling up the cheaper less desirable units (the back of the building). I've never been inside, but those units overlooking Bethesda Ave are probably the best in the building.

I will say that construction and other area updates like this post are the reason I continue to frequent this blog. It's certainly not the extremely biased and 99% unfounded rants that the author posts every once in a while.

It's like watching Fox for sports and drama series, but not for the ignorant wingnut propaganda news and talk shows.

Yeah I come for the hyper local store openings, closings, updates, etc. Really great man on the street scoops.

The personal opinions are a detractor for me.

So, anything that doesn't praise Montgomery County Government is a "rant"? The Chinese government would agree with that journalism standard.

Nothing about "praising", or damning. It's about making coherent arguments using verifiable data, and being able to exercising some degree of emotional self-control when engaging in discussions.

Yes. This.

4:45: Every article and argument I make uses data. And then you have to go off topic and bring up all kinds of surreal alternate theories and histories of Montgomery County's economic development status.

Betsy said...

i think one thing he is saying is that you disbelieve data provided by sources and then quote your own numbers without providing your sources. You give reasons you believe your own numbers, yes, but that's not really proof or evidence or fact.
