Chef José Andrés has made some additions to the menu for fall at his fast-casual concept Beefsteak, which has a Bethesda location at Westfield Montgomery Mall. They include:
Oh My Squash, a roasted butternut squash soup with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green beans, lemon honey dressing, pumpkin seeds and cranberries.
Kale'd It, with field greens, kale and edamame tossed in soy ginger dressing and topped with seaweed salad, tomato, radish and sunflower seeds.
Cauli-power, with field greens, red onion, roasted cauliflower, mushrooms and mozzarella tossed in fig balsamic vinaigrette, cherry tomato, chickpea salad, sprouts and corn nuts.
Beefsteak is located in the mall's Dining Terrace.

Does Chef Jose Andres know that you endorsed Trump? He HATES Trump. He cancelled his deal to open a restaurant in Trump's hotel at the Old Post Office.

It isn't successful thus far. The mall location is always empty.
@8:14 Yeah I think this is going to end up shutting down, though he makes good money at his other restaurants so maybe he'll keep it open as a matter of pride. Has he ever shut down any of his restaurants?
I know another star chef -- Brian Voltagio - recently announced 2-3 of his places will shut down.
Montgomery Mall food court has fierce competition so it's hard to compete unless you offer a good product at a good price. I think in the case of Beefsteak, not that many people want to eat at a vegetable-focused place.
