Days after the Marriott Corporation confirmed the site of the Connor Building would be its choice for a new headquarters and hotel, demolition of the venerable retail building has begun. They waste no time, although the project isn't expected to deliver until 2022.

Another eyesore gone. Yes in my backyard!
Your welcome for the #scoop on the Elm St article, Dyah
And soon, Robin Ficker's office will be torn down, too. I can't wait - that will be a great day for Bethesda and MoCo County.
8:57: Just one problem - you weren't the source.
9:00: Ficker will be moving into a new office - 100 Maryland Avenue - in December 2018.
The new PD is at 4823 Rugby, not Maryland Ave.
The good people of MC know about term limits and who not to vote for.
What was that you posted about journalists being unbiased?
Folks are catching on about how inept and corrupt most of the Council is (think Reamer, Leventhal).
For the first time, we're seeing Bethesda residents defying the Council and protesting their insane policies.
Leventhal's global warming wet dream rants will soon be squashed by the Trump administration deeming the changes in the weather a "hoax" and simply known once again as winter, spring, summer, and fall. Winning !!!
Of course, every season will be 20 degrees warmer.
An eyesore indeed. My condo real estate value at Fairmont Plaza just skyrocketed because of Marriott. Long live the Mormons.
