Construction walls come down at The Rae apartments in Bethesda (Photos)

A closer look can now be had at The Rae, the new apartment complex at 10401 Motor City Drive in Bethesda. Construction walls have been dismantled, and the public areas and landscaping can be seen up close. Developer Foulger-Pratt is showing a long-term commitment to the property, as it not only has no immediate plans to sell it, but is also serving as the property management firm. The Rae has been anticipated to welcome its first residents in Q3 2023, which we are now in.

Why didn't they curve that corner coming down from the former Marriott turning right toward the post office and Home Depot? They made the corner a hard 90 and it's awfully tough to make the turn. Tons of trucks and commercial vehicles turn there every day going to HD. It's not only a hard 90 but narrow as well. That's the MoCo way as I think of it. All lanes too have been narrowed. The project does look nice though and much better than a dealership there.

I can’t wait to get a nice unit at the Rae, hopefully on a high floor, overlooking the rooftop of the Home Depot. I love the smell of pressure treated lumber in the morning!

Home Depot isn't forever. Invest now or miss out when the economy booms again. We are post pandemic and Russia is sucking wind while China needs to buy Biden's help. It's a glorious time to be an American citizen.
