The opening of the restaurant that is expected to replace Daily Grill at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda hotel appears to have fallen significantly behind schedule. Los Ricos, a Tex-Mex restaurant, had been aiming for a spring - or summer, at the latest - opening. The summer opening is still technically possible, but a look inside the space finds the old Daily Grill interior still there, and no demolition or construction work having taken place yet.
Of course, there are at least a couple of other restaurants in Bethesda that are years behind schedule in opening, so this is far from the most-delayed project in town. There's no shortage of Tex-Mex cuisine in downtown Bethesda at this point, but this would still be a nice addition for hotel guests and the community alike.
