Zuma by Chef Ninja locked out by landlord in Bethesda

Zuma by Chef Ninja
has been closed during business hours for a couple of weeks, but has posted no explanation for the closure on its premises, website or social media accounts. In fact, its Instagram account has continued on autopilot, inviting customers to party at the lounge as recently as last night. However, property owner Greenhill Companies posted a sign on the front of the restaurant declaring it sealed late this past week, and warning that the police will be called if anyone tries to enter the premises without authorization. This action is typical when a tenant has failed to pay rent, or to comply with other requirements under their lease agreement.

Friday night

The closure sign was visible Friday night. But 24 hours later, someone had ripped it down. The lights in the darkened restaurant were turned on last night, but it was still closed, and no one appeared to be inside.

From the sign: people entering without authorization "will be referred to law enforcement."
The intent and meaning are clear, but the sensitive tone and passive voice here are just ridiculous.

I saw about half a dozen people entering Zuma around 9 PM on Saturday night Jan 27. Later on, I could see that all the flashing color light display inside had been turned on.

They deserve to get shut down , it’s been 5 months and they have not paid me ! or anyone still working there! They had a 3 year old running around first day of opening night life

How long were they open? A few weeks?

There was a lot of police activity in front of Zuma on Thursday evening February 1. The lights were on in the restaurant. Probably half a dozen police cars. Many officers milling around. What’s going on?
