Norfolk Avenue Starbucks reopens in Bethesda (Photos)

Starbucks
has reopened at 7700 Norfolk Avenue in downtown Bethesda, but with less room inside. The store closed for about a week as renovations continue at the Woodmont Crescent building. Work will continue inside and around the walled-off area that was created, which is getting an aesthetic thumbs-down from customers at the moment.

Neither Starbucks nor the property owner has said what the work is specifically related to, but it appears that parts of the floor are being torn up or cut into. Several upgrades and improvements are being made to the building, including the addition of an elevator.

It looks like they ditched the open concept plan with that wall -- bad design!
