The crosswalk that traverses Fairmont Avenue at Old Georgetown Road has become a danger zone for pedestrians, especially those who are unsteady or texting while walking. A reader reports that an elderly woman fell while crossing here recently, and had to be helped up. Upon inspection, I found that uneven asphalt had been poured over the crosswalk's paint, apparently after underground utility work, and has left a surface ripe for stumbling. Whichever agency is responsible could find itself responsible for personal injuries caused by this careless job.

No, actually "News You Can Use."
Thank you, Robert!
This is indeed a dangerous cross walk with the cars turning left from old georgetown road. And to your point, the road is in terrible condition as result of all the construction at the Cheval (which I would add seemed to violated a lot of the rules).
Terrible that people are falling and being injured at this crosswalk. Kudos to Dyer for his great constituent service here. I love what he's doing for Bethesda.
What a joke - he’s making up the news. Who provided you with numbers that people are falling? Luckily people come here for the comments and only five or six people actually believe Robert is reporting the news.
1:52pm at least one person is reported to have fallen in this crosswalk due to poor conditions.
Time to get it fixed or at least warn folks.

2:13pm I couldn't help noticing your pain. It's poisoning you.
3:11PM You're the one who's pain is evident. It's not like this is your blog or anything. Why get so worked up over comments?
