Battery Lane Park reopens in downtown Bethesda

Battery Lane Park has officially reopened at 4960 Battery Lane, Montgomery Parks announced Thursday. The renovated urban park now has a new playground, new picnic tables, a fitness station, a resurfaced basketball court, and the Bethesda Trolley Trail that winds through it has been widened.

Some lawn areas in the park remain fenced off for further renovation. Parks officials said Thursday that they expect that work to be completed by this fall.

Paid for from the money the CARTEL stole from you in "taxes".

Glad to see this is finally re-opened! Let the hooligans who live on Battery Lane have their park back.

That's a great word, "hooligans."

They sure took a long time to do a very simple remodeling of the park.

I wouldn't worry about "hooligans". More about the middle-aged pervs who camp out there all day.

I'm thankful for the more secure design of the new playground.
