The special custom oven that turns out the wood-fired, brick-oven-style pizzas Matchbox is known for was installed yesterday at their future Bethesda Row location. This was formerly American Tap Room. You can see the rest of the progress inside in these photos.

What an exclusive inside look. You're the TMZ of Bethesda.
Nice sign soliciting for MoCo illegals to bus and clean.
Looking forward to it
We should boycott any business using illegals. Of course that would rule out pretty much anywhere.
No restaurants. No produce, no nail salons.
No Trump resorts
Take a class in photography and photo journalism.
Multiple photos of the same thing is pointless.
The oven is in place! Can't wait for a hot pizza!
Looking forward to Roald saying he is looking forward to it
Too bad there isn't a drive thru so Robert can make a youtube video on Matchbox pizza.
6:26: Every picture is different here. You may need a new screen. Meanwhile, I understand your attacks on the photos, because you know that's always been a strength of my websites. So your strategy is to make a strength a weakness by talking trash about the photos, because you know your guys come up short in that department. Remember when Bethesda Now (R.I.P.) had to rent some guy's Flickr account to obtain a library of Bethesda stock photos to try to compete with my full color library of original new and stock photos - and failed miserably? Your troll comments suggest you do.
What a snowflake
Good update. It confirms we're awhile away from opening.
Roald, I strongly recommend that you make other plans for dinner tonight.
Ah, yes. Mr Arlington guy, why start a Bethesda blog?
"I can see Bethesda from my front porch" he replied.
Please keep in mind everyone that this business is owned by the same management company as American Tap Room. They're going to proceed to run this one into the ground as well. The menu will be overpriced and lackluster combined with a crappy happy-hour and more than likely close down at 9-10pm offering no boost to traffic for Bethesda whatsoever. No one's piling the family into the car and saying "Let's drive to Bethesda to eat at Matchbox!". The parking garages will continue to be empty and the streets will continue to get quieter after 8pm.
1:51 PM It'll be good for Bethesda residents, but like you said, no one is going to come into Bethesda for Matchbox. We are surrounded by Matchboxes in Rockville, Silver Spring, DC, Fairfax, etc. Not a draw.
And I've had better pizza. Haven't tried their brunch yet...
Looking at Rockville Menu.. Nope $24 for a pizza
