Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams meet their projected fall opening at Bethesda Row? They technically still have a full two months to work with, so they likely can, despite the interior fit-out still being in the earlier stages.
Walls are being constructed, but still no flooring, counters or finishes. Of course, an ice cream shop is much less complicated to build out than a restaurant preparing hot food. Many ice cream aficionados can't wait to find out who is King Cone at Bethesda Row - Haagen-Dazs, Dolcezza or Jeni's? Do they have what so many ice cream purveyors lack today - a secret ingredient, a la Howard Johnson?
