Papyrus closing in Bethesda, Chevy Chase

More retail jobs are exiting moribund Montgomery County along with its wealthiest residents. With fewer rich people to write letters on upscale stationary, Papyrus is now closing both of its Montgomery County stores in the coming days. A closing sale is now underway at their Westfield Montgomery Mall and 5457 Wisconsin Avenue Chevy Chase locations. Montgomery County has suffered a net loss of retail jobs since the turn of the century, according to the Maryland Retailers Association.
