George's Chophouse closes in Bethesda

George's Chophouse has been packed up at 4935 Cordell Avenue, and the restaurant's sign has been removed from the building. Takeout orders from George's had been relocated for pickup to owner Ashish Alfred's nearby award-winning Duck Duck Goose at 7929 Norfolk Avenue a few days ago. This spot was previously 4935 Bar and Kitchen, and Tragara before that.

Will MoCo restaurant owners start questioning our county's non existent reopening plan?

This is a great outlet for Montgomery County restaurant news.

Really did not know it ever opened.

This had no chance of surviving post pandemic, as it draws a substantial amount of its business from the event space upstairs. Alfred is smart to cut bait from this and keep DDG alive.
