Montgomery County police deployed in force to protect homes and businesses in Chevy Chase and Bethesda overnight, as a riot at the Metropolitan Police 4th District station in Washington, D.C. moved towards the suburbs through Georgetown on Wisconsin Avenue. Police cruisers were on every block in Friendship Heights, and several cruisers were patrolling around Bethesda Row early this morning.

Looters did attempt to break into Saks Fifth Avenue on the Maryland side of Friendship Heights, and the smashed windows were being boarded up when I went by early this morning. Saks has now been hit several times by looters this year.

The riot grew out of a protest at the police station in D.C., where the death of moped rider Karon Hylton in the Brightview Park area has been blamed by many residents on MPD officers who were pursuing him. There is no connection to Montgomery County in the controversy.

In case anyone still doesn't get it, this is merely a preview of what's coming should President Trump win re-election. Things have degenerated to the point where the police are 100% to blame for everything, the culprit 0% to blame no matter what, and store owners not even in the jurisdiction have their businesses vandalized and looted. We've reached the Orwellian singularity.
It's the reason I am a legal gun owner and have a CCW Permit to protect myself and those I care about.

I haven't heard about any "breaking into" or "looting" of Saks Fifth Avenue this week. However several businesses in the area have been observed to be boarding up their windows as a precautionary measure ahead of next Tuesday's elections.
9:33: Looters did attempt to break into Saks Fifth Avenue last night around 10:45. Windows were smashed. I've heard three suspects may have been arrested at the scene. The windows were being boarded up in the middle of the night, which is not usually when people do voluntary, precautionary window boarding.
If you give the rioters and looters what they want (to elect Biden) that's just giving in to blackmail and it will make things worse. No one should vote with a gun held to their head. They should vote their conscience which in my case is to vote for Trump.

This was taken at the 4th District police station, presumably before this violent rioting mob made its way all the down to Georgetown and then all the way back up Wisconsin Ave to terrorize the Saks Fifth Ave store.
