I live in Bethesda
I’ve switched my sleeping habit to sleep all day and be awake all night
I watch the street all night if they come for my car or enter my house me and my gun will be there

If we can’t count on politicians to do their jobs we have to protect our children and our property

Oh well. Too bad. Apparently those BLM/Biden-Harris/Hate Has No Home Here signs and stickers around MoCo didn't stop it this time. Guess they don't always work.

See, if everyone walked around with guns then people would stop leaving their cars running and unlocked.

I have Biden-Harris, BLM, No Home for Hate Signs and I've been vaccinated 8 times for COVID (Pfizer AND Moderna)

Hopefully my cars will be spared.

I can't believe how high-tech these car thieves are! Able to pick locks and hotwire cars in mere seconds! In all seriousness, the person who broke the law by leaving their vehicle running and unattended better have been appropriately fined. This is a rampant issue w/delivery service people and it's caused a surge in completely preventable car thefts.

@5:39 AM: Do you mean "walked around" with legally carried guns (which isn't a crime) or illegally carried guns (which is a crime)?

@5:39 AM - Your statement makes absolutely no sense. I'll consider the source.

@11:36 PM - Might as well put a MAGA sign in your yard, them babies is real popular round here.

Please educate yourself how easy it is to steal a car using a scanner/key clone device available everywhere. Use a Faraday Pouch for any proximity keyfobs.

Next up is the Montgomery County Executive eliminating school resource officers after 19-years. But no worries for the wealthy liberals whose children attend Sidwell Friends in Edgemoor because they have two separate visual security vehicles, (gray Dodge Chargers), idling all school days outside.

The resource officers have been replaced with officers stationed outside schools in police vehicles - exactly what you are pointing to as a good thing. What an excellent self-own.

@8:07 AM - Perhaps reading wasn't a requirement where you went to school.

@1:19 PM: From the article you linked:

>> "The school system said the position will be replaced by Community Engagement Officers, which will consist of police officers who patrol in areas around schools, but will not be in direct contact with school staff."

>> "In emergencies, schools will call 911 and officers will be dispatched. The Community Engagement Officers will be sent if they are available."

......

>> "In proposing the legislation, the bill’s sponsors pointed to data that show school resource officers disproportionately arrest Black and Hispanic students compared to white students."

Let's break this down: First I noticed that "Black" and "Hispanic" are capitalized, but white is not. I guess that's the new WTOP style guide. Ok, whatever.

So the issue is that School Resource Officers disproportionately arrested Black and Hispanic Students compared to (W)hite students. Disparate outcomes does not indicate racist intent or comprise evidence of racist intent. That's not something these MoCo Council Clowns would ever understand or accept, so I've found the solution here which will make the Corrupt MoCo Cartel happy. These School Resource Officers needed to arrest more (W)hite students. If only they arrested more (W)hite students, and had the arrest count proportional and equitable to the number of Black and Hispanic Students arrested, I think these MoCo Council Clowns could be on board with that and permit the School Resource Officers to remain on school grounds. We could make up some crimes for these (W)hite students to match the numbers to Black and Hispanic Students and it would be all good. Don't accuse me of being a bigot. I'm working within the principles laid out by the MoCo Cartel Clowns.

So, now the new setup will be: "The school system said the position will be replaced by Community Engagement Officers, which will consist of police officers who patrol in areas around schools, but will not be in direct contact with school staff. In emergencies, schools will call 911 and officers will be dispatched. The Community Engagement Officers will be sent if they are available."

This new scheme makes the students much less safe. Having the officers on school grounds made the response time to a school emergency much faster and made the students much more safe.... and when they do come, will they be arresting the Black and Hispanic Students "disproportionately' again as well? Oh well, I guess if you defund the police they won't be able to show up to school grounds anyway so it's a moot point.
