Construction is advancing inside the future Tacombi at 4749 Bethesda Avenue. The purveyors of what New York magazine declared "New York's absolute best taco" are opening their first location outside of the Big Apple here. You can see tile has been installed, but some cinderblocks remain exposed.

I'm interested to see if this new place is the real deal or just a bunch of good marketing. Fish Taco delivers a high quality dining experience that's fast and fresh every time I've been there, so it's a high bar to match that. Will there really be enough business for four taco places to survive in a one block area: Fish Taco, Tacombi, Chaia, Mexicue
